Okay, so what. It's only been 3 days since I've started this diet and I'll admit, it's not going over very well. Let's recap what's been going on since our initial excitement shall we?
Okay so I got all that crap I needed to get started. Whoop dee fricken doo. Popped in the core rhythms dvd and them two crazy looking Latin chics already know how to do all that stuff so of course they make things look smooth. I looked like a broken down caveman from one of them Geico commercials trying to do that crap. Okay, yes I had a little rhythm with mine and stuff but after my side started aching from all that twisting, leaning, and lifting I decided that I looked better WATCHING than doing. Yeah, we'll revisit those dvds tonight....maybe.
So moving on from the dvds, let's get to the rutt (yes, rutt not route) of the problem. The food. (sigh) Okay so I was doing SO well drinking my lemon water that I had forgotten all about soda and fried foods and stuff. All i needed was two weeks. TWO!!!! And I'm already struggling on day 3. Let's see. Monday I had a veggie omelet for bkfst, a salad for lunch and steamed chicken and broccoli for dinner. Peace of cake right? Okay moving on to yesterday. Had another veggie omelet for bkfst, greens, string beans, and sauteed chicken for lunch...but then I added a few plantains (carbs or fruit) and a cookie. (<--- okay so that wasn't planned and it was oatmeal and isn't oatmeal good for you??) I figured since I had already screwed up I might as well just go ahead and call it a night so I had a combo of fried and buffalo wings. But its chicken and chicken is protein right!!!
Okay so fast forward to about 10:00. The boyfriend said he couldn't see me until later in the week. Doesn't he know i've got needs!!!! (sigh) Of course that put me into overdrive so after I got off of the phone w/him I figured eating 3 eggo waffles would help me sleep. AND I WAS RIGHT!!!
Okay so this morning, its a new day and i'm definitely going to do right.......later. Cuz Au Bon Pain was calling me for a bagel w/cream cheese and i didn't want to disappoint this early in the new year so I obliged. And then the can of pepsi wanted to holla at me really quick so I went ahead and saw what he wanted. (wasn't sh*t)
Sigh....okay people. I'll check back on Friday. I'm sure I'll be better. I'm sure of it. I promise even. (somehow, I don't feel like I'm convincing you. perhaps because I'm not convinced myself!!!) But for lunch it's back to the program. And tonight, I'm gonna do my work-outs w/them two crazy latin broads even if I do look like I'm having a seizure. I promise you by Friday, I'll have a whole new attitude. You just watch me work (wink).

Gettin Excited; Gettin Started
Okay!! So its 2009 and I'm on a mission to get rid of the spare tire and flabby thighs. I ordered my Core Rhythms dvd box set from the infomercial, joined up with the ladies at work about the South Beach Diet, and picked up my Slim Quick Naturals from the drug store so NO ONE can stop me now!!! Got my list of all my "can and can't eat" foods for the first phase as well as mapped out my cardio/strength training work-out for the week. I am AMP'D and ready to go.
